Alecia Beth Moore, stage name Pink was born on September 8, 1979 to Judith and Jim Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her brother Jason Moore was born in 1977. She went to Kutz Elementary School, Lenape Middle School, and Central Bucks High School and joined the Band, “Middleground,” which folded after their defeat at a “Battle of the Bands” competition. At 14, Pink performed in clubs across Philadelphia and went through phases from skateboarder to hip-hopper to rave child and finally rock band lead singer.
